Web Programming

I decided to create a framework of a PHP & MySQL powered gallery, that could easily be redesigned for mutliple projects. This project is still in the testing stage, but it features the capiblitiy to upload pictures with titles and captions which can be edited, a blog, muliple user support, file size tracking, and much more! Users must be logged in to use most of the features, however guests are able to browse the galleries.

This is a program that allows users to create, view, update and delete insurance records. It also has the abiliy to create users with different levels of access. This project has been finished, however because of security reasons, the alpha version is shown here. I developed this program with PHP, MySql, JavaScript, (XHTML) & CSS, most of which was coded by hand from scratch.

This was a class project for data driven websites. It displays the toppings you order on the picture of the pizza. This was a colaborative project, I programmed the database driven portion of the site.

This was an assignment for my flash programming Independent Study. It is a clone of the '80s arcade classic, Defender.

Website Development

When SVSU purchased a new design template for the website, I was a part of the team that made that template into a real website.I was personally responsible for ensuring cross browser compadibility.

This website was a redesign of an older website. I created the flash menus to the customer's specifications with graphics created by another designer.

I created the flash movie found in the middle of the page. It rotates previews of the artwork of Marshall Frederiks.

This website is a portfolio site for myself and my wife. It's a little out of date but note the flash banner, slide show and custom graphics.

This website is also a redesign of an older site, this one was for the Center for Business and Economic Development. When I took on this project it was a mess and past it's due date. I realize it is a bit spartin, but I was able to quickly redesign this site before the project lost its grant.

Graphic Design and Digital Media

This video was created for the Field Neuroscience Institute of St. Mary's of Saginaw. FNI holds an annual gala to raise money to pay for its community outreach programs. This video helped them raise $15,000 more than the previous year.

This is an animation short that I created for a class on Flash. The animation style is purposefully crude.

This flyer was created for the Center for Business and Economic Development. I, as a part of a team, created, organized and promoted the event, Inventions 2 Market that allowed local inventors to pitch their inventions to local investors with the help of SVSU MBA students.

I created this 3D model as a project to teach myself SketchUp, a 3D modeling program. It is the College of Education building on the campus of SVSU.

After the I2M Event, I created this poster as a visual aid to explain the event to the grantors of the project.

This is a prototype of a cellphone app that allows the user to troubleshoot their washing machine. This was a group project for an interface design class. I led the group and programmed its logic. This was created with Director.

This is a prototype of a bloodpressure monitor designed for kids. This was made for an interface design class with Director.

This banner is an animation that displays Flash's ablitiy to use paralax scrolling (i.e. objects move at different speeds based on their position, relative to the viewer). I created all of the graphics by hand.
